about

Steve's Bees

We're a family business, operating out of Our Chance Ranch in the Yosemite foothills. Steve Jacobs, beekeeper and apiculturalist, apprenticed for five years to a master apiculturalist before founding Steve's Bees in 2019. You can visit our apiary in Mariposa County, or Steve will come to you.  CLICK HERE to email Steve.

One of the most wonderful things about bees is that in propagating our orchards, fields and flowers we are also gifted with the "nectar of the gods"—their delicious honey. Bees produce honey from the sugary secretions of plants (nectar) by regurgitation, enzymatic activity, and water evaporation. They store honey in wax structures called a honeycomb. Steve's Bees offers raw local artisanal honey, in limited quantities as produced. Contact us for sizes and prices.
